AS I LAY DYING CONFIRM WORDS THAT BURN AS MAIN SUPPORT FOR DUBLIN ACADEMY

San Diego quartet AS I LAY DYING will be making their Irish debut this coming August with an exclusive show in Dublin’s Academy on Tuesday, August 9th. 

Joining them will be rising Irish Alt/Metalcore crew, Words That Burn [main support] and Dream Awake.

US Metalcore kingpins As I Lay Dying come to Dublin’s The Academy for their Irish debut on 9th August 2022 with main support from Words That Burn and guests, Dream Awake.

The San Diego Metalcore crew will continue their ‘Two Decades of Destruction’ tour with an extra show in Dublin’s Academy on Tuesday, August 9th.

The bands latest studio album ‘Shaped By Fire‘ [their seventh], was released in 2019, boasting the bands’ undeniable sound that made them one of the most revered bands’ within the Metalcore genre.

Check out ‘Roots Below‘, a track that was originally recorded during the ‘Shaped By Fire‘ sessions.

Phil Sgrosso states of the track:, “‘Roots Below’ was a track I initially wrote for the ‘Shaped By Fire’ album, but at the time we collectively felt it needed more time and attention to develop to its fullest potential. We were finally able to piece it all together along with some other material taken from the ‘Shaped By Fire’ touring cycle, bundling it all into the deluxe version of the album.

Joining them on this exclusive date, will be rising Irish Alt/Metalcore quintet, Words That Burn, who recently wrapped-up recording with producer Josh Schroeder [Lorna Shore, King 810, Ghostbath] for their third full-length album, which will be set for release soon.

The band made their UK debut at Bloodstock Festival last August and have been working on a multitude of projects associated with the new album behind closed doors. So stay tuned for more news coming soon.
