Overdrive can now reveal that the mighty ANTHRAX will be returning to next years Bloodstock with a new album under their belt and a set list that will strip layers of moss off the roof of Catton Hall!! With the bands forthcoming album, For The Kings, due for release early next year, Overdrive can guarantee that this will be a crushing return to the Derbyshire countryside, for the New York thrash icons and not to be missed, under any circumstances!

After decimating venues in Ireland at the end of August this year, Gojira will be returning to Bloodstock, with their collection of mountain sized riffs and breathtaking heavy-as-fuck metal. The band are currently busy working on the follow up to, L’Enfant Sauvage (2012), with an album that is destined to be a contender for album of the year. With the recent news of Satyricon vocalist / founding member Satyr having being diagnosed with a brain tumor just last month on October 5th (see post from Satyr below), it would seem that all is looking promising for the Norwegian Black Metal legends.
Satyr revealed the news via his Instagram account, where he wrote: “I got extremely sick eight days ago and was rushed to hospital. Scans have shown that there is a blind passenger in my head. Most likely it is benign. I can live with it as long as it does not grow bigger. Removing it is extremely complicated and should only be done if it grows into a size where it is a matter of life and death.”
The band are working on new material for the follow up to the self titled release back in 2013 (see video below) and a covers album also, which is yet to be discussed by the band.
Joining ANTHRAX, GOJIRA and SATYRICON will be none other than TWISTED SISTER for the Friday headliner slot and their last ever UK performance along side a weekend of who’s who in the wold of metal with MASTODON taking to the stage on Saturday for their debut UK headlining slot.
