If you haven’t already been tempted to make the annual pilgrimage to the centre of the UK’s heavy metal Universe for Bloodstock Open Air this year, then fear not! The awesome team behind the festival have just announced a few more bands for you to consider!

BOA Feb 2018

Swedish metal crew Amaranthe are added to the Sunday Ronnie Jamies Dio main stage bill and will no doubt bring all kinds of hell with them as they lay waste to the main stage. Check out their video for ‘Maximize’ below;

Landing a Sophie Lancaster stage slot on Friday are Mancunian bruisers, INGESTED. Describing themselves as ‘Slamming Death Metal’ the five-piece will be determined to bring all kinds of hell to Bloodstock. A band you simply cannot miss.

Joining them on the Friday line-up are MORTISHEAD, who have plenty of teeth cutting riffs and a dominating stage presence, the Bristol-based lads are asserting themselves as a powerful movement headed by six brutal bastards.

Landing a slot on Saturday’s Sophie bill, the mighty Dead Label who have been the band on everybody’s lips over the last year. Their last performance at Bloodstock generated a great deal of UK interest and heavy rotation on countless radio stations and Scuzz TV of their blinding new video ‘Pure Chaos‘ which was released last year.

All the way from Perth, Australia, prog metallers VOYAGER  join the fray on Saturday. The long-running group dropped their sixth album, ‘Ghost Mile’ last May.

After having to pull out last year, we’re pleased Nuclear Blast’s brutal German duo MANTAR are able to join Sunday’s Sophie bill in 2018!  Don’t miss them if you love a bit of black metal combined with doom and punk.

If thrash is more your thing, be sure to catch Brighton beasts, KING LEVIATHAN. Describing themselves as “Extreme Metal band and purveyors of misery, ferocity and speed.” What’s not to like?

BLOODSTOCK is also pleased to welcome heavy supergroup, ACT OF DEFIANCE.  Formed in 2014, by ex-Megadeth men Chris Broderick & Shawn Drover, plus Henry Derek (ex-Scar The Martyr) & Matt Bachand (Shadows Fall), check them out via this link.
