Topping the bill is none other than Swedish doom metal legends Candlemass. Currently celebrating their 40th anniversary, the pioneers of epic doom metal continue to dominate festival stages worldwide. Fans can also look forward to their upcoming Black Star EP, set for release in May 2025.
Speaking on their headlining slot, Candlemass shared, “Candlemass are proud to be a part of the Bloodstock Winter Gathering! We have always felt welcome on British soil and we’re excited to be there once again and deliver our special brand of Swedish doom metal! See ya all soon… Love you!!!”
Joining them as special guests are British thrash icons Venom Inc., who will perform their landmark album Ave in full for the first time ever. Also on the main stage are comedic extreme metallers, Raised by Owls, Scottish speed demons Hellripper, Thrashcore rising stars Tortured Demon, and heavy Welsh outfit, King Kraken.
In addition to the powerhouse main stage lineup, Bloodstock’s Winter Gathering will feature a second stage packed with talent. Theatrical metal disruptors Red Method will headline, joined by the intense Metalcore act, Thuum and Mancunian thrashers Hellbearer. The event will also include artist signing sessions, DJ sets, and more exciting additions to be announced.
With a limited capacity, tickets are priced at £49.00 plus booking fees and are available now. Located just a 20-minute walk from Wolverhampton station and with affordable parking nearby, the event offers an ideal opportunity for fans to indulge in an early Christmas gift of pure heavy metal.
