In other news, the bands’ longtime drummer Joe Letz announced his departure from the band last month. In a post on Facebook, Letz shares his fond thoughts of the remaining members and his feelings going forward.
Letz says that his decision was not an easy one. However, he is confident in his choice to leave Combichrist without any hard feelings toward the rest of the band.
“After 13 years the time has come for me to make my exit from Combichrist,” Letz says. “The decision did not come with ease, but with confidence. I’m currently on a road to recovery and happy to say that it’s taken me to a new place in life. One in which I can begin to forge new paths while building new relationships among new experiences. This is what’s best for me right now.”
The drummer continues to give nothing but praise for the remaining members. Letz shares that without them, his career and life would be entirely different.
“I have no hard feelings and I wish Andy and all of my former bandmates nothing but the best,” Letz continues. “Without them, my career thus far would not have been possible. All of the friends I’ve made, the places I’ve seen, and experiences I’ve had have been thanks to them and for that, I am eternally grateful.”
The band have recruited New Years Day, There Is No Us, and Dead City Lights drummer, Nick Rossi who will be out on the road with them for these dates.
