DUBLIN’S NEWEST LIVE MUSIC VENUE IS OPENING THIS WEEKEND!

Posted on by Oran

Music and emerging talent will be at the heart of Lost Lane, as the venue seeks to create and maintain a reputation as the home of live music in Dublin and yes, they’re open to booking heavy and alternative live bands!

Artists will span a diverse range of acts from across the Irish and international music scene, and genres from rock and indie, to, punk, jazz, and trad bands and heavier genres such as metal, hardcore and beyond.

Music lovers can expect to see collaborative line ups that will feature renowned household names alongside some of Ireland’s up and coming talent.

Through Lost Lane, The Porterhouse Group seek to provide a platform to shine a light on the ones to watch within the music industry and create a sense of community for the music and entertainment scene.

When Overdrive contacted the venue to ask about the possibilities of booking/hosting heavier and more underground music they confirmed this as well as stating;

We are keen to have a full cross-section of all genres of music. The music policy is more about having really great music, rather than having anything specific genre-wise“.

Their press release states; “A fresh new space where all are welcome, to enjoy good music and good times.

The perfect solution for musicians and industry workers looking for somewhere to party on their night off and Dubliners looking to kick start their week with a night out.

Substantial investment has been made to respectfully restore and preserve the venue’s Georgian structure and details alongside updating and installing state of the art sound and lighting, acoustic treatment and set design that will promise a complete immersive live music experience. Elliot Hughes, partner at The Porterhouse Group, comments:

Lost Lane will give people the opportunity to see bands in a really intimate setting. We’ve broken the piggy bank so that we can get the absolute best in sound and lighting.

We’ve stripped it back in terms of décor as we want the focus to be on the artists, allowing people to really get lost in the music without distractions of decorative bells and whistles.
