Fusing elements of Post-Punk, New Wave, and Alternative, Irish-based artist, Johnny and the Brewsers unveil the debut single/video, ‘Day in the Sun’ – Check it out below…

A solo project born out of lockdown restrictions, Johnny and the Brewsers comes from the brain of one Johnny Brewer, the former drummer from ‘Engines of Ruin’ and ‘Mute Assassins’.

Day In The Sun is the first single and video release from the debut EP, Lounge Lizard Licks, due for release by mid-June.

A drummer by nature with many years of live and recording experience, Johnny, in recent times, focused his energies on learning other instruments resulting in a collection of songs that are finally beginning to see the light of day.

Returning to Ireland in late 2020, having lived and traveled through Europe for a few years, Brewer started writing songs in early 2021 and the idea for the EP began to gather momentum.

The EP embraces the DIY ethos, as Brewer wrote, performed, engineered, and produced the recordings in his sitting room.

‘Lounge Lizard Licks‘ is scheduled for release in mid-June of 2021 with a follow-up EP already in the pipeline.
