‘Conflictions’ – the stunning new album from Cork Metal crew, Following the Signs sees the four-piece (soon to be five-piece) deliver a sonic journey that pulls the listener to the twists and turns within their collective minds eye – and the results are impressive.
With singles, ‘This Day is Mine‘, ‘Escape‘ and now, ‘Bury Me‘, all possessing the key element of the bands impressive ability to incorporate massive waves of crushing melody, among metallic hardcore arrangements, with the greatest of ease.
Check out the brand new lyric video for ‘Bury Me‘ below…
Speaking of the track, the band says: “‘Bury Me’ was chosen to be the final song because we wanted an aggressive heavy end for the album. This song is fast, intense and consistently heavy from the start to finish. This is a song with a strong ending that we like playing at last during gigs.”
Featuring a collection of twelve blistering contemporary Metal tracks, “Conflictions” is a
furious debut, loaded with skyscraper melodies and deep, dark breakdowns, reminding us
all, yet again, the level of quality that exists in the Irish Metal scene today.
With previous singles ‘This Day is Mine‘ and ‘Exposed‘ having made a respectful impact
with heavy music fans and critics alike, their new single ‘Escape‘ continues to reinforce the
bands ability to find a perfect equilibrium between melody, and face-melting heaviness.
Having already featured in Metal Hammer Germany, and previous singles getting UK
and Irish premieres ahead of release, the interest in Following the Signs is gathering
momentum, as fans are being drawn to the bands ability to fuse elements of old and new
styles of Metal, with ease and authenticity.
