Further acts have joined the bill for Black Sabbath’s heavy metal celebration this summer.

The original line-up of the legendary band — Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward — will headline a special concert billed as Back To The Beginning at Birmingham’s Villa Park on July 5 .

The show will mark the metal pioneers’ first show together in 20 years, and will see Osbourne, 76, play his own short set before joining with Black Sabbath for his final performance.

Ozzy said: “It’s my time to go Back to the Beginning….time for me to give back to the place where I was born. How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham Forever.”

The all-dayer will be hosted and compèred by American actor Jason Momoa, and feature an all-star supporting bill comprising bands Black Sabbath have inspired, including Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Alice In Chains, Halestorm, Lamb Of God, Anthrax and Mastodon. New additions to the line-up include Tool, Guns N’ Roses and Rival Sons.

The extravaganza will also include a performance from a “supergroup of musicians“. Andrew WattChad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dave Ellefson, Vernon Reid of Living Colour and Whitfield Crane of Ugly Kid Joe will combine with Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins, David Draiman of Disturbed, and Frank Bello of Anthrax. There’ll also be appearances from Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit, Jake E Lee, Jonathan Davis of Korn, KK Downing, Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, Mike Bordin of Faith No More, Rudy Sarzo, Sammy Hagar, Scott Ian of Anthrax, Sleep Token’s II, Papa V Perpetua of Ghost, Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine, and Wolfgang Van Halen. Head below to check out the full line-up so far.

Tickets went on sale last week and sold out in less than 10 minutes. Profits from tickets sales will benefit Cure Parkinson’s, the Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorn Children’s Hospice, a Children’s Hospice supported by Aston Villa.
