With the weeks passing by at light speed, Bloodstock Open Air is just around the corner and we couldn’t be more excited! As part of a new series of pre-festival interviews, Bloodstock TV spoke to In Flames frontman, Anders Fridén about the bands, long overdue return to the hallowed grounds of Catton Park.

It’s been a whopping sixteen years since Swedish melodic Death legends, In Flames shook the foundations of Catton Park, but this year that’s all about to change.

In Flames will be taking to the Ronnie James Dio stage on Friday August 11th, where they will, no doubt, lay waste to the main arena preparing twenty thousand punters for a packed Festival weekend to follow featuring some of the heaviest bands to grace the UK this Summer.

Bloodstock TV spoke to Andres about the bands return to Bloodstock as well as newest member, Chris Broaderick [ex-Megadeth], and their status as pioneers of the infamous Gothenburg melodic Death Metal scene. Watch the full video below…

Bloodstock will take place at Catton Park on from August 11th through 13th, with headliners, Killswitch Engage, Meshuggah and Megadeth. The bill also includes, In Flames, Triptykon (performing a UK exclusive Celtic Frost set), Helloween, Knocked Loose, Ugly Kid Joe, Biohazard, Zeal & Ardor, Sacred Reich, Gatecreeper, Crowbar, Employed To Serve, Sepultura, Decapitated, The Enigma Division, King 810, Dead Label and many more…
