With the release of their genre-bending new studio album ‘The Above’, Code Orange vocalist Jami Morgan tells us about the concept of how their back catalogue ties together, their new production company and much more…

Taking a tried and tested blueprint of any genre and pushing it into new creative territory, is not an easy task, by any stretch, however Pittsburgh’s Code Orange have managed to reinvent their own brand of Hardcore, developing a new captivating and dynamic sound to the genre.

Vocalist, Jami Morgan recently took some time out of the bands busy touring schedule to talk with Overdrive about, ‘The Above‘, a sensational album that fuses elements of Industrial, Hardcore, ’90s Alternative, and elements of Nu-Metal to new creative levels.

‘The Above’ is the follow-up studio album from 2020’s ‘Underneath’ and the first with Morgan stepping out from behind the drums and taking the role as the bands fontman, giving Code Orange a dramatically new intense live presence.
