LUCIFER II due for July 6th release via Century Media Records.

With the critically acclaimed 2015 debut ‘Lucifer I’ setting the benchmark, former The Oath vocalist Johanna Sadonis returns with the highly-anticipated sophomore ‘Lucifer II’ which is due for release on July 6th via Century Media.

After the much-lauded Rise Above Records debut in 2015, vocalist Johanna Sadonis has teamed up with Nicke Andersson (Entombed, The Hellacopters, Imperial State Electric) and brought the bands 70’s hard rock influenced sound to the next level!

Citing Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Blue Öyster Cult, Lucifer’s Friend, Steppenwolf, Heart and Fleetwood Mac as influences, “Lucifer II” offers a great balance between straight up “Heaven & Hell“-era rockers like ‘California Son‘, the beautiful ballad ‘Dreamer‘ and the thundering doom of album closer ‘Faux Pharaoh‘.

Apart from a new label home, the follow-up to 2015’s “Lucifer I” also marks the first studio release of the new LUCIFER incarnation now consisting of vocalist Johanna Sadonis, guitarist Robin Tidebrink, and multi-instrumentalist Nicke Andersson, who plays the drums and also took over bass and guitar when recording “Lucifer II“. The band’s live lineup also features Martin Nordin (DEAD LORD) on guitar and bass player Alexander Mayr.

“Lucifer II” was recorded at the Honk Palace in Stockholm. It was mixed by Ola Ersfjord (DEAD LORD, TRIBULATION, PRIMORDIAL) at Cuervo Recording Service in Madrid.
