With a remarkable display of talent from all over the country, there is no question that the underground/alternative scene in the Republic of Ireland has never been in better health.
Let us introduce you to the six finalists that will be performing on Saturday, May 11th in Fibber Magees.
BLACK HOLE DIVERS
With serious early Suicidal Tendencies vibes, this ferocious five-piece don’t waste anytime in whipping up the chaos in the pit, all the while hammering out some of the most infectious crossover bangers that should come with a hazardous warning.
Formed and based in Ireland, the bands songs swim between fast and melodic music, flirting with elements of Thrash and Hardcore punk, resulting in aggressive rhythms with social and political ways of thinking.

MOTION SICKNESS
Motion Sickness took on Metal 2 The Masses Ireland like a tornado as their stage presence and energy is unmatched. Their unique sound of back-ally garage rock is infused with a razor-sharp frantic punk attack, makes them a truly captivating live experience indeed. Did I mention that vocalist Bonnie Lalor has a voice that could take out a kilometer of street lights in any neighbourhood? Just one more reason to get front and centre when they take to the stage on Saturday, May 11th.

RITUAL EFFECT
If it’s unpredictable frontmen you’re after then Ritual Effect are the band for you. Of course, the three-piece bring some blistering Grunge-Metal to the table, in tandem with huge anthems and mountains of swagger. Having reached the Grand Final last year, the guys are very much focused and have their eyes firmly fixed on Bloodstock. Not to be missed!

SAINT SLAUGHTER
Dust off your hi-tops, because Saint Slaughter are planning to decimate the venue come Saturday, May 11th. Expect bone-crushing riffs marinated in old-school aggressive vibes reminiscent of late ’80s to early ’90s Thrash. The bands latest single ‘Inglorious‘ will give you an idea of what to expect, but let me tell you, they are a force of nature in a live setting.
Bring your gum shield.
TOO FAR FETCHED
Mullingar’s very own Toofarfetched smashed through Metal 2 The Masses Ireland thanks to their alternative mix of Death-style vocals with down-tuned post-Meatlcore vibes and lashings of breakdowns and groove, you’ll be taken aback with the melody that these guys can muster up.
We are really looking forward to checking out their live presence and will no doubt be a serious contender for Bloodstock Open Air’s New Blood Stage.
Check out their latest single ‘Artemis‘ below..
URAGH
With their impressive new debut album ‘Maelstrom‘ just fresh out of the box last week, rising progressive metal unit, URAGH are making some serious waves within the Irish Metal scene and for good reason. This will be the bands second appearance at at Bloodstock Ireland Grand Final.
With a wide range of progressive influences embedded within their music, URAGH bring something totally unique to the table with such molten hot intensity, that it’s just impossible to ignore. Do not miss them take to the stage on May 11th.
