The official statement from promoters MCD reads as foll0ws;
“OZZY OSBOURNE’s upcoming 3Arena date this Wednesday 30 January is postponed due to illness. Details for the rescheduled date will be announced within the next 48 hours on www.mcd.ie and www.ticketmaster.ie . All tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date.“
Having posted an official photo of a burst blood vessel in his eye with the comment; “Coughed so hard I burst a blood vessel in my eye.” We can only suggest that he’s been battling a cold/chest infection, or perhaps the hand infection that took him down during the Noth American dates last October has returned.
Whichever reason it might be the legendary frontman’s healthy has determined his team to postpone the first week of the “No More Tours” run, as a burst blood vessel should not have any crippling effect on his performance for Wednesday night’s show let alone the remaining dates of this leg of the tour.
Back in October, the veteran metal singer was initially hospitalised (see below) after contracting an infection in his hand, forcing him to cancel a show in Mountain View, California on October 6th, which then led to the cancellation of the rest of his North American dates.
We have been told to stand by for a new rescheduled date. Please stay tuned to Overdrive for all the latest as it happens.
