We arrive in Dublin’s Academy a short while before the doors open for Overkill’s second ever performance in the Irish capital and are shortly sitting before one of the most iconic front-men in the thrash metal history books! Bobby ‘Blitz’ Ellsworth is every bit the gentleman and is particularly fine spirits this Sunday evening. As we get comfortable in the confined backstage dressing room of the Academy, Bobby gives an honest and animated interview looking back over his 30 odd years in the business.

Overkill’s last release White Devil Aromory was released back in July of 2014 and with critical acclaim across the board the legacy of the New Jersey ‘wrecking crew’ continues to smash stages across the globe, putting most of their younger peers to shame.
