PARADISE LOST has announced that will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the album “Icon”launched in 1993 with a disc rewrite.

This new version will also come out in a special edition on vinyl.

At the moment, no further details of this anniversary edition are known except for the message that the group itself has shared on its social networks:

Icon, our fourth album was released in 1993 and for its 30th anniversary, we are rerecording and making an extra special vinyl release. That’s all we can share for now, but stay tuned to this space for more information and some special announcements coming soon.”

Paradise Lost released “Icon” in September 1993, via Music For Nations label. The album was considered a turning point in the group’s sound, which moved away from the elements of Death Metal which was prominent in previous releases. Vocalist, Nick Holmes also changed his singing style, abandoning the gutturals, becoming melodic and scratchy.
