Paradise Lost return to Bloodstock for a very special performance of their legendary ‘Draconian Times‘ opus.
Regarded as one of the bands most iconic albums, Paradise Lost ultimately mastered the genre they pioneered in 1995 with their album Draconian Times ,which went on to sell over a million albums worldwide.
With last year’s ‘Rise of the Underground‘ tour hitting venues across American and Europe, New York alternative metal legends will take to the stage over the Bloodstock weekend and will no doubt be a festival highlight for many.
The bands sixth studio album ‘The Sound of Scars’ was released on October 11th and the band will no doubt be airing some material from said album at Bloodstock.
The band’s debut album, River Runs Red, was released 26 years ago on October 12th, 1994. That classic album brilliantly fused groove metal, post-grunge, and the assertion of New York’s hardcore scene. Not to be missed!
Having released one of the most revered albums of 2019, classic NWOBHM icons, DIAMOND HEAD are confirmed for the festival’s 20th anniversary weekend.
New album ‘Coffin Train’ shows the band evolving since their critically acclaimed self-titled return back in 2016. Fronted by vocalist Rasmus Bom Andersen, Diamond Head’s new powerful sound is very much balanced by a mix of classic and contemporary.
Featuring legendary guitarist Brian Tatler and drummer Karl Wilcox, this is an addition to the Bloodstock weekend that will no-doubt take a few layers of skin from one’s face, so whatever you do, get yourself front and centre for the mighty Diamond Head!
These additions to Bloodstock 2020 will be joined by Friday headliner Devin Townsend (UK Exclusive) previously announced exclusive twin thrash attack, with Bay-Area squad, VIO-LENCE in their first ever and ONLY UK show in 2020 and Phoenix-based four piece, SACRED REICH in their only UK festival appearance of the year.
2020 will also see the return of SKINDRED, after their epic Newport Helicopter scenes on the Ronnie James Dio main stage in 2017. You will also see Jinjer and Gloryhammer over the weekend as well as a double dose of melo-death with BLACK DAHLIA MURDER and DARK TRANQUILLITY grabbing main stage slots, along with LA metal crew, BUTCHER BABIES.
