The good folk down in Biggywiggy Music have put together a rather kick ass event in aid of Pieta.
Pieta House, the center for the prevention of self-harm or suicide, opened in Lucan, Co Dublin, in January 2006. Since then, they have also opened two outreach centers in Tallaght, Dublin 24, and Finglas, Dublin 11, as well as two centers of excellence in Ballyfermot, Dublin 10, and Limerick.
Belinda from Biggywiggy Music explains “We all know people, who for one reason or another, have needed someone to talk to.. someone impartial, someone to listen to them in their dark hours and bring them into light. Pieta House is there, so we wanted to do our bit for Pieta, and friends we’ve known and loved who perhaps just needed that little bit of help.”
So if you want to catch some serious rocking bands and lend a helping hand to a very good cause get down to the Gypsy Rose tonight (Friday 7th June) to catch, Elevation Falls, Sal Vitro, Kerouac and Shoctopus for a superb night of Rock.
Cover is 8 Euro and all donations and ticket sales will go to Pieta.
