With their debut album storming the Metal charts around the globe, Melo-Death Metal legends, Mikael Stanne and Peter Iwers, of The Halo Effect, sat down with Overdrive right after their Irish debut performance earlier this week to talk about their plans for the rest of the year, a new EP and much more…

Few bands have managed to harvest such an established reaction in such a short period of time as The Halo Effect.

Having formed in 2020, their debut album ‘Days of The Lost‘ found its way to the number one spot in Sweden’s mainstream charts, with significant critical acclaim from respected Metal fans and critics around the globe.

Vocalist Mikael and bassist, Peter told us about their surprise on the bands success, plans for a new EP next year and the rise of Gothenburg’s, now infamous, melodic Death Metal scene.
