THE DARKNESS (Friday Main Stage Headliner) – One of the UK’s most beloved rock bands of the past 20 years The Darkness are a fantastic addition to next years Ramblin’ Man Fair.
When the band burst onto the scene 18 years ago they single-handedly resurrected the sounds and attitudes of the late 70’s hard rock genre for an unsuspecting generation. Multi-platinum records and countless Top 10 singles followed which gave birth to one of the most exciting British rock bands who still to this day put on a live performance that channels the theatrics and energy of Queen and sound and style of Led Zeppelin.
“I do love to ramble. Years ago, my grandfather bought me a set of hiking boots for Christmas, in a direct refusal to spend money on the plastic Evel Knievel toy I had begged him for in the weeks leading up to it. Grandad was quite progressive in that respect, very much a recycler. It must run in the family, my Uncle Len gave me the same 3 pack of sports socks that I had given him the previous year.
So off I went box-fresh hikers and regifted sports socks up the nearest hill. It took a long time to get there on account of my having grown up in the flatlands of East Anglia. Two of my other great uncles, Fred and Cyril, lived in Maidstone so I walked there. That makes Rambling Man somewhat of a homecoming, and we, The Darkness, cannot wait to headline this magnificent festival.” – Justin Hawkins
CHRIS ROBINSON BROTHERHOOD (Main Stage)- The Chris Robinson Brotherhood is in the midst of one of their most prolific periods to date, with a slew of studio and live records coming out amidst a rigorous tour schedule that only seems to fuel their fire even further.
Their stellar new album, ‘Barefoot In The Head,’ marks the CRB’s third studio release in just two years, and it finds them pushing boundaries and breaking new ground with more joy and wonder than ever before. Another fantastic addition to next years Ramblin’ Man Fair.
