EHT Promotions have unveiled the full line up for this years UNLEASHED FESTIVAL which will be taking place in Dublin’s Fibber Magees on August 23rd & 24th.

Now a main fixture on the Irish metal scene, THE UNLEASHED FESTIVAL showcases some of the very best in Irish Metal across two days in the capital’s very own Fibber Magees.

This year, promoters EHT have put together a blistering selection of bands from all over Ireland. Get the full line-up below. Click here for the official event link.

Friday August 23rd.

Having blown away the judges from this years Bloodstock Metal 2 The Masses Ireland campaign, Dublin-based five-piece FORNOTH found themselves in the final showcasing their blend of melodic death metal to BOA booking agent Simon Hall as well as a rammed Fibber Magees, who, we can safely say, approved of the bands infectious riff assault.

Catch them again as headliners for this years Friday night line up for The Unleashed Festival. For more details, please click here.

A very talked-about experimental four-piece from Dublin, Svet Kant bring technical, heavy mind-boggling arrangements to the stage with their arsenal of riffs. They best describe it themselves “Mind-twisting eclectic experimental metal. A fusion of uncommon melodies and tantalising harmonic landscapes.

The guys have a new album ‘A Visage Unbiased’ which is out now. Click here for more information.

Scathed have been incorporating a heavier sound of late, and their inclusion in 2019’s UNLEASHED FESTIVAL is one that we’re sure the punters will enjoy, to no end!

Fronted by one Ainsley Kavanagh, Scathed bring a fresh and new approach to the Irish metal/rock scene and have a live show that includes all the bells and whistles. Expect soaring vocals, crunching riffs and solid bangers. Find out more about Scathed here.

Hailing from Galway, Organ Blender are a three-piece weapon that have been levelling Fibbers since their Dublin debut on Metal 2 The Masses Ireland earlier this year. Imagine early Carcass in a bar-fight with Megadeth and you’ll be kind of in the same ballpark. One of the most exciting new metal bands to emerge from the scene in many years. Do not miss them on the Friday night. For more information, please click here.

For more information on the band, please click here.

Opening up the UNLEASHED FESTIVAL for 2019 is Dublin-based crew Infectious, who are a 5 piece Metalcore/Deathcore band founded September 2016.

They take influence from bands such as Killswitch Engage, Parkway Drive, Slipknot and Bring Me The Horizon. For more information, please click here.

Cork hardcore/metal outfit, BAILER are leading the charge for Irish Hardcore thanks to their stunning live shows and no-bullshit approach to just about everything they do. If you managed to catch them on tour with CONJURER recently, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. Get up to speed on these legends via this link.

AeSect with Simon Hall of Bloodstock and Oran O’Beirne of Overdrive.

2019 Bloodstock Metal 2 The Masses Ireland winners will be once again taking to the stage in Fibber Magees for a masterclass in technical death metal/metal-core. At this point the lads will be fresh from their performance at Bloodstock Festival’s New Blood stage, so make sure you get down and show your support and give them a homecoming show they will remember. For more information, please click here.

Belfast Thrashers KETOS will be taking to the stage for their first Dublin date since the release of their debut album ‘First Strike’ back in April. Expect a complex combination of duelling guitars, heavy riffs, blistering solos, pounding drums, heavy growling and melodic vocals, KETOS is an unapologetic explosion of violent rage and furious anger. Find out more here.

WORN OUT are a 4-piece metal/hardcore band from Cork, Ireland. Since forming and releasing their debut single “With False Hope” in 2017, they have made a dent in the local and national hardcore scene. The bands latest single “No Truth”, recorded, mixed and mastered again by regular engineer Aidan Cunningham (Murdock), came out on April 14th.

Self proclaimed as ‘Grey Stag are a sociopathic groove tyrant with a penchant for dank riffage’ the guys are not wrong! We’ve seen them in action a few times and they just never disappoint.

With the latest new release ‘The Guide’ raising the bar for Irish metal, there is no doubt that Grey Stag will be ready to decimate the UNLEASHED FESTIVAL from the get-go, just make sure you’re front and centre for their full assault. Get more information here.

Describing themselves as ‘post-hardcore’, Holocene Extinction hail from Waterford and bring a sound that encapsulates elements of Lamb of God, Avenged Sevenfold, and Killswitch Engage, all the while putting their own turn on things.

The guys will be opening up day two of the festival, so make sure you get in to the venue early to catch them. Find out more about Holocene Extinction here.

The 2019 UNLEASHED FESTIVAL is a free admission event, so no excuses. Taking place in Fibber Magees in Dublin’s city centre over August 23rd and 24th. For more information, please check out EHT Promotions for further details and stage times.
