To honour AC/DC’s 50-year reign as the world’s greatest rock and roll band, Columbia/Sony Legacy proudly announce that the band’s catalogue will be available as gold-coloured vinyl LPs.
Each of these limited edition LPs comes with an album-specific 12”x12” print featuring new AC/DC 50 artwork, suitable for framing.
The second wave of AC/DC 50 releases includes six more classic releases. A final vinyl drop will follow later in the year.
Overdrive will be giving away the following albums to one lucky reader…
LET THERE BE ROCK – Initially released in Australia in March 1977, a modified international version featuring the first appearance of the iconic AC/DC logo was unleashed that Summer. It’s said that while recording the solo on the title track, Angus’s amp overheated and caught fire!
STIFF UPPER LIP – Issued in 2000, the album saw the band reunite with Angus and Malcolm’s older brother George Young on production duties for the first time in over a decade. The album cover features a bronze statue of Angus Young. For the accompanying tour, a replica stood 40 feet high.
ROCK OR BUST – This 2014 album was the first to feature Stevie Young, Angus & Malcolm’s nephew, on rhythm guitar. The album entered the charts at #1 in 12 countries and was top 5 in a further 12.
AC/DC has thrilled their millions of fans by announcing the ‘POWER UP’ European tour for Summer 2024. Details of the tour can be found here.
