This marks the first time AMORPHIS have worked with acclaimed Danish producer Jacob Hansen, best known for his work with the likes of Volbeat and Arch Enemy.
Guitarist Esa Holopainen shared the band’s enthusiasm about this new direction:
“Borderland is the first AMORPHIS album produced in collaboration with Jacob Hansen. Before that, we had made three amazing records at Jens Bogren’s studio. During the planning phase of the project, we strongly felt that it was time to explore something new and see what working with a different producer might bring to the table!”
To kick off the new album cycle, AMORPHIS will release a brand-new single, ‘Light And Shadow’, on 6th June 2025, offering fans the first glimpse of what “Borderland” has in store. You can pre-save the track now via this link.
The release of “Borderland” will be supported by a huge European and Finnish tour throughout autumn and winter 2025. Alongside their own headline dates in Finland, AMORPHIS will join a powerhouse line-up alongside Arch Enemy, Eluveitie, and Gatecreeper for an arena-filling run across Europe.
