NAILBOMB: MAX CAVALERA’S HATE PROJECT RETURNS TO WREAK HAVOC ON EUROPE

Posted on by Oran

Exploding out of the vaults and into the chaos of modern times, Nailbomb is back, louder, angrier, and nastier than ever.

The incendiary brainchild of Max Cavalera and Alex Newport is once again loading up the arsenal for a European summer tour, locked and loaded with a lineup that reads like an underground metal hall of fame.

After sporadic reactivations since 2017, Nailbomb is officially on the march again, and this time it’s Europe’s turn to take the hit.

Hitting key dates across Germany, the UK, France, Belgium, Poland, and more, the 2025 summer run sees the band tear through a mix of legendary festivals and intimate venues, culminating in a barrage of distorted guitars, hate-fuelled lyrics and industrialised metallic fury.

Originally conceived in the early ‘90s in the Cavalera household’s nanny’s bedroom, Nailbomb was never meant to be a “real band”,  just a visceral, anarchic side-project with a punk heart and metal muscle. But one listen to Point Blank (1994) proved otherwise. A cathartic collision of hardcore, industrial, and groove metal, it quickly became a cult classic and cemented its place in heavy music’s more volatile archives.

The original lineup was a firestorm of talent: Max Cavalera (Sepultura), Alex Newport (Fudge Tunnel), and a cast including Iggor Cavalera, Peligro (Dead Kennedys), Dave Edwardson (Neurosis), and Rhys Fulber (Front Line Assembly), among others. Nailbomb was never supposed to go live—until they received an offer too wild to turn down: Holland’s legendary Dynamo Festival. And with that, the beast was unleashed.

Three decades later, the world is boiling over again, and Nailbomb is stepping back into the ring.

Leading the charge is founding member Max Cavalera (Soulfly, Go Ahead And Die, Cavalera), joined by an explosive cast of modern metal warriors:

Igor Amadeus Cavalera (Cavalera, GAAD, Healing Magic)
Jackie Cruz (GAAD, Jade Helm)
Travis Stone (Cavalera, Pig Destroyer)
Adam Jarvis (Pig Destroyer, Scour)
Alex Cha (Pig Destroyer)
Due to scheduling conflicts, Bloodstock, Alcatraz, and Cervia, Italy will feature special guest players:

Chris Moore (Repulsion, Coke Bust, Vosh)
Demir Soyer (Goetia)

As Max Cavalera puts it:“Nailbomb is excited to welcome Chris Moore and Demir Soyer to slay with us at Bloodstock, Alcatraz, and in Cervia, Italy.”

The full European tour kicks off on 31st July at Full Rewind Festival in Germany, smashing through Wacken, Bloodstock, and Motocultor, before wrapping at Rock Castle in the Czech Republic on 16th August.

Nailbomb’s return isn’t just a throwback, it’s a wake-up call. In a world still choked by greed, war, and political rot, this is the sound of resistance. Filthy, furious, and absolutely essential.
