The 2019 tour unites Behemoth, Swedish melodic death metal pioneers At the Gates and Cascadian black metal unit Wolves in the Throne Room for a two-month-long excursion that launches in early January.
Behemoth have finished recording their follow-up to 2015’s The Satanist and will release the record on October 5th via Nuclear Blast.
‘We hear your cries, Europe! We’re super excited to announce the continuation of the ‘Ecclesia Diabolica’ World Tour on to the hallowed grounds of Europe and Scandinavia.
We bring together our Unholy Trinity completed by At the Gates and Wolves in the Throne Room to manifest a sacrilegious swarm that will consume the continent and…beyond!’ says Behemoth frontman Adam Nergal Darski about the tour announcement of the band’s ´Ecclesia Diabolica Evropa e.v. Tour 2019´.

Behemoth’s upcoming album, I Loved You At Your Darkest is due on October 5th via Nuclear Blast. While it certainly seems an unlikely title for a black metal band, its origin might surprise fans even more than the words themselves. “It’s a verse from the Bible,” Nergal reveals. “It’s actually a quote from Jesus Christ himself. For Behemoth to use it as the basis of our record, it’s sacrilege to the extreme.”
As a Foretaste for what to expect on the new album, Behemoth have released a video for the first single, “God = Dog” that can be viewed below;

Tomas Lindberg adds, “At The Gates have not done a support tour since 1996. When we got invited to this tour, we immediately saw the logic to the package. This is three bands with their own unique sound, three bands totally dedicated to finding the core of their art — three important bands. It all made sense to us, and we are flattered to be part of this. I truly believe that this is THE ONE tour not to miss this year. Get ready to drink from the night itself together with us.”
Tickets are on sale from August 6th via Ticketmaster and Sound Cellar (Dublin) priced at €40.00 (inc booking fee). For more information, please contact DME Promotions.
