Confirmed for this rescheduled date, headliners, CANDLEMASS will be returning to Ireland for their first show in what will be 15 years since 2007’s ‘Day of Darkness Festival’.
The band have been itching to get back to Irish audiences, especially since the original announcement back in 2019, and will be airing tracks from their Grammy Nominated LP ‘The Door to Doom,’ as well as their follow-up ‘Pendulum’ EP, not forgetting their 1986 iconic, ‘Epicus Doomicus Metallicus’ opus.
Commenting on the bands’ inclusion on the CLANG line-up, vocalist, Johan Länguist commented: “I am so excited to perform in Ireland. This will be my very first time not only visiting there but also performing.
This is going to be a very special gig and we all can’t wait for it. I don’t think we’ve ever played with CORONER either, so it’s going to be a very special show.”
Joining the Swedish doom legends, CLANG punters will witness Swiss Thrash metal trio, CORONER finally make their long-awaited historic Irish debut, with a thunderous performance, covering their almost 40-year history.
Revered by many as one of the finer technical Thrash Metal bands of the genre, CORONER have been busy working on a new album prior to, [and during] the pandemic, which, will no doubt feature some brand new material laced with their trademark experimental, avant-garde brutality in their CLANG performance, as well as classic deep cuts from the bands’ discography. Not to be missed!

“We’ve been wanting to make it over to Ireland for years now, and to be able to make our debut alongside legends like CANDLEMASS and CORONER is a dream come true. We look forward to letting the Devil into Dublin in 2022.”
