Engel “Raven Kings” out now!
Engel’s latest album, ‘Raven Kings’, will be released on vinyl with bonus material on the 2nd of February 2015 through Gain Music. Engel’s fourth album was released in December 2014 to great critical acclaim. The album is produced by the bands founder and songwriter, Niclas Engelin from In Flames, and is mixed by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat).
Engel emerged on to the world stage with the release of the critically acclaimed debut album “Absolute Design” in 2007. Confronted with high expectations and certainly a force to be reckoned with in their own right, Engel have established themselves as one of the most stylish and impressive acts of their genre.
‘Salvation’ opens the album with ferocity leading on to ‘Denial’ and it’s nu-school take on thrash echoing the influences of bands like Exodus and Death Angel. ‘I Am The Answer’ takes the album to a darker harrowing acoustic place, as a breather before being thrown into more crushing and powerful riffs in ‘When The Earth Burns’, that is equal in brutality to the likes of Meshuggah.
Engel will release the ‘Raven Kings’ vinyl version with bonus material on February 2nd 2015 through Gain Music. The band are set to tour the UK later this year.
